Assignment 1- Blog entry 1

I don’t believe I am as vulnerable as the bullet/hypodermic theory suggests most people are. I would say I’m a little more resistant to media influence because I do most of my research and knowledge before, I make an opinionated decision. I think many articles try to do that, like the articles that attack any president on whatever they’re doing I find they’re trying to push and agenda that could lead to other things. Thus, it can also shape the views of people. I find the media does do a little bit of propaganda and they try to get people to buy into something. I don’t really get into media influences and I’m not vulnerable to it I kind of resist to all media influencers because I never base my beliefs on the written word of someone else. I would however read an article and see if it fits some of the same beliefs that I have and I would still than research it to confirm my beliefs, but I wouldn’t just change my beliefs. 

Most of my news is basic news that I read about and I’m not going to go out of my way to look for that crazy headline that makes no sense just for pretty much clickbait. I think that mostly the media’s job is to tell us information but try to get us to go crazy for headlines. The media tries to push some agendas of being for the people, but they aren’t really for us. The medias main just is to get people to click articles read their news and have the foot traffic. I think most media outlets try to not get people to be vulnerable to the media I think the theory can be refuted because there has never been an article that made me think a certain way. Below you will see what I think is the true bad media outlet and it’s our phones and social media. Lastly you will also see an image of Uncle Sam famous “I Want You”. This is ideal because during that time it was very prevalent to the media making it famous to help join the army cause.
